You wouldn't believe it, but gashapon is fairly common here in Manila shopping malls. I occasionally fall apart and attack one... but thanks to some specialty toy stores, I was able to complete several gashapon sets without wasting money on doubles (e.g. Macross Frontier).

I more or less hated the pairing for the longest time, but near the end of the series, it stopped bothering me so much. As I said, I ended up picking up the Suzalulu doujin because the cover art was amazing, especially the one where they're in kimono. Nothing I bought was explicit and the stories ended up having lots of flashbacks to when they were kids, so it was almost platonic, lol.

The 151 shirts have some pretty awesome designs, yes. They're freakishly expensive though (¥4500+) and they seem to only have 4-5 Pokemon available at a time, after which they might be retired. They also had some pretty sweet windbreakers, but basically all of the adult-oriented clothing had insane price tags. But hey, I guess that's why it's a moneysink.

Started reading at the PKMN part, but in making sure there was nothing too dodgy when sending this to my sister's friend who's...somewhere...in Japan right now, I read through the doujin part and... Suzululu? Base preferences aside, that pairing seems it'd be a bit awkward to me, though right away there are more awkward possibilities. Maybe it's because of them each playing a role once the joined up that it doesn't seem there'd be room for casual pleasantries.

But dag, I wanna go grab some of those 151 shirts, if they're even still doin' 'em.
